Community Education Programs

MDBA's beekeeper educators offer information and education about honeybees. Examples include:

• Honeybee classes for elementary, middle and high school students

• Educational displays at Science Fairs, Earth Day events, Community Festivals and Ag Days

• Presentations to Adult and Youth Organizations and Clubs

Honeybee classes for schools are done for this year. The bees are preparing for winter and cannot travel to visit classrooms in the fall. Please contact us beginning January 2024 to schedule an in-class field trip for a date and time in spring from March through May. Be sure to identify your school name and location plus preferred months and dates.

For each class, educational display or presentation, we request a donation to MDBA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization. Our donation generally runs from $75 to $100+, depending on the needs of the requester.

Please contact Jan Pinkerton Spieth to schedule a MDBA Community Education presentation.
